Emergency power maintenance: London 2nd August 2016
Posted by Tom Cordiner on Monday 1 August, 2016
One of our data centre partners in London will perform emergency maintenance of various systems in light of their power outage 10 days ago. The work will be carried out tonight: between 00:00 and 04:30 BST, 2nd August 2016.
During this emergency maintenance window, the power at Positive Park and other sites in Manchester, New York and Tulsa will be unaffected. There is the possibility, however, of periods of brief network disruption to all Positive UK sites as services failover and re-route.
We will do everything possible to minimise disruption and have senior Positive engineers on-site tonight throughout the outage window.
We will update the @posistatus twitter feed in the event of any service disruption.Updates:

UPS Emergency Maintenance
Posted by Jake on Monday 1 August, 2016
A UPS at Positive Park has shown some erratic behaviour, passing its load to other redundant UPS partners in the past 3 hours.
Inspection indicates that its cooling fans may need replacing. To do this the UPS will be put into bypass mode, which will temporarily reduce UPS redundancy.
This work will be carried out within the next 2 hours. We do not expect any interruption to power or any service affecting issues, however there are always elevated risks when dealing with any part of the redundant plant.
